Teresa Glidden joined Exceptional Living Center of Brazil in 2017 after serving at Towne Park Assisted Living since 2016. As the campus executive director, Teresa enjoys interacting with the residents and visitors at our campus of care. Teresa comes from a background of managing senior living apartments in Indianapolis and is a licensed nursing home administrator.
"I have found our residents at Towne Park and Exceptional Living Center of Brazil to be fascinating. Getting to know them and their stories is one of my favorite parts of the day. Since I just recently moved to Brazil, it's been a tremendous pleasure learning about the community from our friendly staff, residents and visitors," said Teresa.
"Each day, I'll work to be present in the moment and appreciate our staff and residents. Treating others with the dignity and respect is the cornerstone of how I can be of service to others. Each day is an opportunity to exceed expectations of those we serve," continued Teresa.
Christy is a native of Brazil and serves as the director of nursing for our campus of care. When asked about why she decided to work in senior living, Christy said, "I love caring for the residents and putting a smile on their faces. I know I play a role in supporting our seniors to live as independently as possible."
With a degree in nursing from Ivy Community College, Christy has worked as a critical care cardiac nurse and in a laboratory setting. She has served as an assisted director of nursing at a continuing care retirement community, which included assisted living, and as the director of nursing at a skilled nursing center. In addition to her work in both the hospital, skilled nursing, and assisted living setting, Christy has worked with home health and hospice. Her experience runs the range of care which benefits our residents.
"I choose to work in senior living because I enjoy the environment and feel like residents become a part of our family. Our campus is a great company to work for because of the many friendly, helpful team members," commented Christy.
As area seniors begin to make the transition from home to assisted living and skilled nursing, Christy looks forward to exceeding their expectations in a way that validates their decision to move. "My goal is to make each person feel comfortable with the care we provide. I know we have the skill, experience, and commitment to making this a wonderful place to live."
