Hundreds visited Brazil's 2nd Annual Route 40 Fest held on Saturday, September 16, 2017! For one day, members of the public could plant their feet on the new asphalt or sit and enjoy musical entertainment on a stage on US Highway 40.
Classic cars and food and street vendors added to the fun as we celebrated renewal and positive changes in our downtown community.
Exceptional Living Center of Brazil and Towne Park Assisted Living of Brazil participated for the second year in a row in all the festivities. Our face painting was a huge hit for all the children who came out with their parents to enjoy the day!
"Not only did the children of Clay County have fun, but our team also had a blast seeing the kids' reactions to their newly transformed painted faces!" said Lydia Elmore, marketing director at Towne Park Assisted Living of Brazil. Our goal for the day was to benefit our senior campus activities department by selling hot dog meals and face painting....and it was a success! In total from our sales and generous donations by community members, we raised $266 to help enhance our activities program for the campus. We send a HUGE THANK YOU to all who volunteered their time and for the donations!
